After Space Oddity Bowie waits a long while before introducing the band,in the meantime acknowledging the applause at hiss ease. “Thank you very much. Thank you so much. Thank you, good evening. Thank you,ha! Oeh!”. Then he intruduces the band and as usual Earl Slick gets most applause; then Bowie says something unintelligible and then,in quite a low voice,“Happy birthday”. (note ,Carmine’s birthday)

I won 2 tickets to this concert in 1983 at webster hall in nyc.what a rush going up on stage and got those tickets.A lot of woman were rushing up to me screaming take me take me.I held on to both tickets and took my friend Roy it was both our birthdays.me 7.31.1983 and him 8.1.1983 we were going on 23 years old.What a great show it was.
