Same as Worcester,up to and including Let’s Spend the Night Together.
Once again Bowie and the Spiders are in capital form; this is a first-class concert! Each song is played eminently, with full devotion.
After Width of a Circle Bowie says: “Good evening Chatham ,it’s nice to be here” and introducesthe band. “On piano there’s Mike Garson and on lead guitar Suzie Quatro“(Mick Ronson that is!). “Right!” he then shouts,“this is a number by the Rolling Stones,it’s called Let’s Spend the Night Together“.

My first ever concert in row H in the stalls….transfixed and a Bowie fan ever since.
I was there, on my own. Just 15 and travelling by good old M&D bus. I think I was a little bit surprised by the costumes! Music was great though.
Steve Ashby, Nigel Hambrook and I took the bus from Maidstone to Chatham. We were only 15. Coloured our hair with silver spray. The concert was fantastic, had a brilliant time. He had such an influence on us from that day on.
Me and my pal, Julian Dawson, busked the queue outside this concert. We were studying at Medway College of Design.
Remember this so well. Everyone was standing on the seats and being only 5’4″ it was difficult to watch through tall people. Good concert though.
I was there, sitting in the balcony. Just 13 and a wide eyed innocent who had his mind blown.
I was in the audience at this concer….two rows back from the front with Bowie directly in front! We all sat mesmerised by our hero performing in Chatham! Bowie said at one point how very quiet & well behaved we all were !! Remember it well.
