Before My Dead Bowie says: “This is something that we haven’t done for a long long long long time since we first started. Let’s try and do it”. It is song really splendidly – Bowie agrees: when it is followed by thunderous applause he says “Ah,lovely! We’ll see you in a few minutes time”.
Width of a Circle is the first number folluwing the interval; there are frequent spells of grating sounds, probably due to retaping with the aid of some half-way disintegrated tape deck. “Hello London” Bowie says after this number,“this is David Bowie and these are the Spiders From Mars. I’d Like to introduce you to the Spiders From Mars …” Then comes Let’s Spend the Night Together, with a good deal of screaming from the audience. “This is a number by an old favourite – Lou Reed. It’s called White Light White Heat“.
