As the inlay describes, Bowie was paid $1 million to play at this three day festival. While the audience may have got their money’s worth, the previous concert had been just three days earlier in Frejus in southern France and the next three days later at Wembley – even by today’s standards, that’s a tough schedule.:
David Bowie Tour band 1983 – The Serious Moonlight World Tour :
• David Bowie – lead vocals, guitar, saxophone
• Earl Slick – guitar
• Carlos Alomar – guitar, backing vocals, music director
• Carmine Rojas – bass guitar
• Tony Thompson – drums, percussion
• Dave Lebolt – keyboards, synthesizers
The Borneo Horns:
• Steve Elson – saxophones
• Stan Harrison – saxophones, woodwinds
• Lenny Pickett – saxophones, woodwinds
Backing vocals
